BUCKHANNON — A Buckhannon man was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his estranged wife.
Christopher Don Bradberry, 44, was arrested for sexual abuse in the first degree, a felony, by Senior Trooper P.J. Robinette with the Buckhannon detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
On Monday, Nov. 12, Robinette received the complaint that was dispatched by the Upshur County E-911 Center and met with the victim at the detachment. The victim stated her estranged husband, Bradberry, allegedly held her down against her will and sexually abused her. The officer observed stains on the side abdominal area of the victim’s shirt that were consistent with the victim’s statement.
Magistrate Mike Coffman set bond at $40,000 and ordered Bradberry to have no contact with the victim.
If convicted, Bradberry faces confinement in the penitentiary not less than one nor more than five years and/or fined up to $10,000.
