BUCKHANNON — A Buckhannon man has been arrested for domestic battery, a misdemeanor.
Freddie B. Kelley, 58, of Buckhannon, allegedly pushed his wife causing her to fall, according to the criminal complaint in the Upshur County Magistrate Clerk’s office.
On May 15, Sgt. Tom Posey with the Buckhannon Police Department, responded to a domestic call on Fayette Street and spoke with the victim who was kneeling on the floor beside the bed.
The victim told Posey that Kelley allegedly pushed her and she hit the cabinet and fell to the floor, according to the complaint.
The victim had a large knot or bruise on her forearm and stated the injury occurred as a result of being pushed.
Magistrate Kay Hurst set bond at $5,000.
If convicted of the misdemeanor, Kelley faces confinement in jail for not more than a year and/or a fine of not more than $500.
