Local woman arrested after terroristic threats

BUCKHANNON — One local woman has been arrested after allegedly making terroristic threats toward those in St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, March 26.

According to court documentation, Upshur County Sheriff’s Deputy Cole Bender responded to WVU Medicine’s St. Joseph’s Hospital, located at 1 Amelia Drive in Buckhannon, in reference to a domestic situation. Upon arriving to the hospital, Deputy Bender was advised by hospital staff that the defendant, later identified as Joyce Ann Wahl, age 39, had allegedly stated she was going to “bomb this place and kill everyone inside.”

The criminal complaint stated that after collecting statements from the staff, who witnessed the situation, Deputy Bender located the defendant walking along Brushy Fork Road.
