Local karate students win national championships at St. Albans

ST. ALBANS – Two members of the USA Martial Arts Training Center in Weston traveled to St. Albans to participate in the USA Martial Arts Federation National Karate Championships during a one-day event held on Nov. 3 at the St. Albans High School.

Weston’s Brady Frazier and Buckhannon’s Mylo Snyder participated in the Weapons, Form and Fighting competition.

Frazier finished second in the nation it Kumite (fighting) while Snider placed third in Weapons and fourth in Forms and Fighting.

Snyder is a 10-year-old that attends Union Elementary School while Frazier is 8 and attends St. Patrick School.
