TENNERTON — Lena Marie Sneberger, 86, of the Czar Community, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born on April 9, 1931, in Czar, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clark and Delia Ellen Cutright Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Anton Sneberger; one sister Doris Virginia Morgan; maternal grandparents: Joseph Dexter and Mary Jane Tenney Cutright; and paternal grandparents: William “Bill” and Electa Cutright Smith. She is survived by two daughters: Doris Diane Dulaney and husband Chuck of Helvetia and Christine Long and husband Randy of Mill Creek; one granddaughter Tiffany McCauley; one stepgranddaughter Morgan Long; one brother James Smith and wife Vada of Helvetia; several nieces and nephews; and her three beloved cats: Blackie, Angel and Inky.
Lena was an avid quilter and seamstress and enjoyed researching family histories and genealogy.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, at
1 p.m., at the Pine Grove Cemetery at Czar, with the Rev. Randy Long officiating. Because of her deep affection for animals, the family requests memorial donations be made to either the Upshur or Randolph Humane Societies.
