Lady ’Cats, Frostburg St. battle to 12-12 tie

BUCKHANNON — Kimberly Lubic tallied four goals as West Virginia Wesleyan and Frostburg State played to a 12-12 tie on Tuesday.

The game was called due to darkness.

Hannah Antonelli and Katie Kennedy added a pair of goals each for the Lady Bobcats. Also scoring were Samantha Pappas, Natalie Schaffner, Madison Duvall and Lovely Ordonez-Lopez.

Molly Biggers had four goals for Frostburg State.

Wesleyan held a 20-19 advantage on shots on goal and led in ground balls, 12-8.

Gabrielle Cleavland had 12 saves in goal for the Lady Bobcats, who led 10-8 at the intermission.

Wesleyan is now 1-1-1 on the season.

The Lady Bobcats will return to action at 4 p.m. Sunday at home against Ursuline (Ohio) before visiting Millersville on Tuesday.
