Lady Bucs win against Grafton at away game

GRAFTON — Buckhannon-Upshur High School’s lady Bucs soccer defeated Grafton High School in an away contest on Thursday.

In the first half of the game, B-U’s Ava Hollen scored the first goal in the 5th minute. It was a corner kick, assisted by Cameron Zuliani, but the ball bounced off the opposing team’s player into the goal.

Hollen again scored in the 12th minute with a dribble down the right side. Chloe Cale secured a shot in the 15th minute from 10 yards out, then in the beginning of the second half, turned and shot at the top of the box for another point with an assist from Zuliani.

Miranda Greene obtained the winning point for Buckhannon-Upshur, also assisted by Zuliani, with only a minute and a half to go. The pass came from the outside to the center and straight past the defender for a victory.
