Hero Sports says Vet ‘arguably the best pitcher in Division II’

BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat softball hurler Hannah Vet has been tabbed by Hero Sports as a 2018 NCAA Division II pre-season All-American.

Hero Sports described the 5-8 senior from Naples (Fla.) as “Arguably the best pitcher in Division II softball right now.”

Vet is coming off a season where she was selected as the Mountain East Conference Pitcher of the Year, the conference’s Female Athlete of the Year and one of the NFCA’s second–team All-Americans.Her earned-run-average dipped below 1.00, to 0.94, putting her second in Division II.

She appeared in 36 of Wesleyan’s 61 contests, posting a 28-4 record, including 14 shutouts. She walked just 18 and struck out 149 in 216 1/3 innings.
