Lady Bobcat netters lose 5-2 to Bloomsburg


MORGANTOWN – The West Virginia Wesleyan women’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Bloomsburg (Pa.) at the Summit Tennis Academy.

Wesleyan won two singles matches for their two points after getting blanked in doubles action.

Picking up the wins for Wesleyan were No. 1 Cecila Martinez over Vitoria Nery (6-1, 6-0) and Rebecca Osborne at No. 3 beating Giovanna Bonito (6-3, 6-1).

Wesleyan dropped to 0-2 on the season.

They will return to action Monday, March 9 against West Virginia State.
