BRIDGEPORT – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School junior varsity Little Lady Buc volleyball team raised their record to 3-0 with a come-from-behind victory over the Bridgeport Braves last Wednesday.
The junior varsity Little Lady Bucs lost the first set by a 25-18 score but came back to take the next two sets to knock off Braves.
They took the second set by a 25-18 score and the third set by a 25-20 score.
“The girls have been coming together each game,” remarked Buckhannon-Upshur head coach Sheena Westfall. “They played a great game against Bridgeport coming back in the last two sets for the upset.”
The junior varsity Little Lady Bucs racked up 19 aces in the three-set win with Rebecca Pastorius collecting six, Reagan Mason five, Sophie Lantz and Bailey Radabaugh three each and Makenzie Egress and Molly Radabaugh one each.
Avery Hamer led the team in kills with four while Molly Radabaugh had a team-high four assists.
The junior varsity Little Lady Bucs totaled 63 digs in the win with Bailey Radabaugh leading with way with 20 and Hamer collecting 15.
All volleyball action was wiped out this week for the junior varsity Little Lady Bucs.
