Junior varsity soccer Bucs fall to Bridgeport, 5-1

BRIDGEPORT – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity soccer Bucs dropped a 5-1 decision to the Bridgeport Indians last Monday.

The lone goal of the game for the Bucs came right before the first half ended.

B-U’s Zach Calef-Boring was fouled going in for a shot by the Bridgeport keeper and the Bucs were awarded a penalty kick.

Calef-Boring was hurt on the play so Bailey Clevenger took the penalty kick and found the back of net for the Bucs.

The loss dropped the junior varsity Bucs to 1-4 on the season.

Their game slated for this past Saturday with Hurricane was canceled as well as all action this week as they had games with Fairmont Senior and University scheduled.

According to their original schedule, they are slated to play next Saturday, when they host Wheeling Park at noon.
