Junior varsity Little Lady Bucs open season Dec. 9

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Lady Buc junior varsity roster shows just two returning players as they prepare for the 2019-20 basketball season.

The two veterans are seventh-graders – guard Rylee Carr and forward Taylor Spratt.

The newcomers on the 12-player roster are seventh-graders Aubrey Mavety (G), Olivia Shipley (F) and Brooklyn Smith (G), and sixth-graders Hailey Aegan (G), Jaelyn Burch (G) Shaylee Hebb (F), Emma McGinnins (F), Taylor Parke (G), Lainey Rohr (G) and Avi Travise (G).

“An athletic new group of girls join the two returning players,” head coach Tiffany Board said. “These girls are proving to be quite basketball savvy and are retaining the offensive plan we have set. We are anxious to get the season started to see how they do in game situations.”

Gini Croaff is the assistant/junior varsity coach. Joe Maxwell is a volunteer assistant.

The Little Lady Bucs will open the season Dec. 9, traveling to Grafton to battle the Taylor County Lady Knights.
