Junior varsity Lady Bucs fall to Elkins in finale, 16-7


ELKINS – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs dropped a 16-7 decision to the Elkins Tigers Thursday night in their season finale.

With the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc basketball roster low on numbers because of a pair of injuries, the junior varsity Lady Bucs played just two quarters against Elkins.

Callie Lantz provided the only Buckhannon-Upshur basket in the first quarter as they trailed by a 10-2 margin.

Olivia Ellis popped in a three-pointer and McKinley Bonnett scored a basket for B-U in the second quarter, which went to Elkins by a 6-5 margin.

The Lady Bucs ended their year with a 0-9 record.
