Junior varsity Lady Buc soccer team starts season 2-0-2

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity soccer Lady Bucs have opened their season with a 2-0-2 record.

They met Parkersburg in their debut on Saturday, Sept. 5 and won a 2-0 contest in a game that was just one 40-minute half.

Kyleigh Keener and Tanley Triplett had the goals for the Lady Bucs.

The Bucs then upped their record to 2-0 with a home win over East Fairmont on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Last week, the Lady Bucs battled to a pair of 1-1 ties.

Last Monday, they fought Bridgeport to a 1-1 tie as both teams scored in the first half.

Chloe Cale had the lone goal for the Lady Bucs.

Then this past Saturday at home, the Lady Bucs deadlocked Wheeling Park by that same 1-1 score.

Ashley Caitlin had the goal for the Lady Bucs in the first half with the assist going to Sheridan Phillips.

The Lady Bucs were scheduled to go to Philip Barbour Monday.

They will return to action next Monday hosting Fairmont Senior at 5:30 p.m.
