Joan Alvina Williams, 78, of Brooksville, Florida, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2021.
Joan was born in Liverpool, England to the late Winifred and Waxham Mlot. Preceding Joan in death are husbands, Jerrell D. Duckworth and John M. Williams; sisters, Emily Sud and Jean Blakely; and brother, Sonny Taylor.
She is survived by her son, Alvin Duckworth and daughter-in-law, Celeste Duckworth of Elkins, WV; son, Richard Duckworth of Wendell, NC; daughter, Virginia Duckworth and her partner, Nora Kuliesh of Brooksville, FL; sister, Patricia Rigby and husband, John of Crewe, England; sister, Anne Hollins and husband, Simon of Malpas, England; sister, Margo Hill of England; sister-in-law, Linda Taylor of Sandbach, England; sister-in-law, Donzella Villers of Glenville, WV; brother-in-law, Mohinder Sud of Canada; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Joan dedicated her life to loving and caring for her children, family, friends, neighbors, and those in need. Her generous, compassionate, easygoing spirit made her very popular and beloved by everyone she met. She had a knack for decorating and entertaining and made every person who stepped into her home feel warm, comfortable, and special. Joan was also an entrepreneur who owned two successful bridal stores and loved to host a yard sale. Joan left an unforgettable mark on the world, and her giggle will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
