Jayvee Lady Bucs trounce East Fairmont, 30-16

FAIRMONT – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs easily dispatched of the East Fairmont Lady Bees by a 30-16 score Tuesday night at East Fairmont High School.

The two teams only played two quarters as East Fairmont had a limited roster of players for the game.

The Lady Bucs rolled to a 17-4 lead after one quarter of action with seven different players getting points.

Leah Moore and Lexi Kelley each had four points while Olivia Ellis, Justice Courtney, Kiara Woods, and Alayna Nesbitt each had two and Brooklyn Bryant one during the opening quarter.

The second quarter was closer, but the Lady Bucs still won it by a 13-12 score.

Nesbitt scored four points, Robin Ball three, and Moore, Ellis, Courtney two each in the second quarter.

Moore and Nesbitt each had six points to lead the Lady Bucs.

Faith Gaines led East Fairmont with six points.

The win improved the Lady Bucs to 5-6.

They will return to action today when they host Robert C. Byrd at 5:45 p.m.
