High Point Construction, Highland Landscaping to meet in Golf League finals

TENNERTON – High Point Construction and Highland Landscaping were victorious in first-round action of the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.

Second-quarter winner High Point Construction knocked off first-quarter champion Custom Cabinets by a 27-23 count last week, and Highland Landscaping, the fourth quarter victor, eked out a 25 ½-24 ½ decision over third-quarter titlist Feola’s Flowers.

High Point and Highland will duke it out in the 18-hole championship match. No date has been set for that meeting.

Doug Garrett of Feola’s Flowers and High Point Construction’s Bob Post shared Low Actual honors with 38s. Highland Landscaping’s Paul Dibiccari, John Moss of Feola’s Flowers, and Randy Coffman of Custom Cabinets followed with 40s.

Post claimed Low Net laurels with a 34. Garrett and Chester Cutright of Feola’s Flowers carded 36s, and Moss, Dibiccari and High Point Construction’s Tink Simmons turned in 37s.
