HES learns about safety

HODGESVILLE — Students at Hodgesville Elementary School learned about various safety topics on October 11. The Warren District Fire Department talked about fire safety and not being afraid of a fireman in their turnout gear.

Laura McDaniels discussed personal safety while a WVU nurse emphasized personal safety.

911 representatives reminded students to know their address.

Eddie Eagle and his DNR friend helped students learn what to do if they find a gun.

Fourth and fifth grade leaders presented information about sleep habits and nutrition.

Students also learned about water safety and the importance of wearing a correctly sized life jacket.

Fifth grade PAX leaders greeted our presenters, gave them a thank you gift and showed them where to present. A huge thank you to Mrs. Bohman, our school counselor, for organizing this!
