TENNERTON — A four car collision occurred just outside Anderson Outdoors Jan. 8.
According to the report from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department, the wreck happened at 3:32 p.m. The report said a 17 year-old juvenile driver from Buckhannon was driving a black 2012 Ford F150 north on Rt. 20 with two passengers when the flow of traffic stopped and he failed to stop in time and struck a second 17 year-old juvenile driver, from Buckhannon, driving a red 2006 Jeep Wrangler with two passengers. The collision caused him to rear end Dale Currence, 56, from Ellamore, driving a silver 2017 Ford F150 with two passengers and the momentum caused Currence to hit Kylie Messenger, 18, from Volga, driving a silver 2006 Jeep Cherokee with three passengers.
The investigating officer is Sgt. Marshall Powers of the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department and the assisting officer is Cpl. Rocky Hebb. There were no serious injuries reported at the scene. The Buckhannon Fire Department and Upshur County EMS were also paged out.
