Gov. Justice secures protective equipment and orders closure of hair and nail salons

CHARLESTON — Governor Justice just announced in a press briefing today that the state has purchased protective face masks for law enforcement, first responders and correctional staff. He has also secured protective suits for medical staff.

Justice further ordered today that all barber shops, hair and nail salons must shut down Thursday night.

The Governor also said he tested negative for COVID-19 after discovering he had been in direct contact with the state’s first positive case last month to award a grant.

Justice further assured that WV roads will not be shut down.  He said they have tried to make it as easy as possible to obtain unemployment benefits, which can be applied for online at www.workforcewv.org.
