Glenda Faye Bosley


Glenda Faye Bosley, age 78, of Tallmansville, W.Va., lost her battle with ALS and passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by family on October 7, 2022. She was born in Ten Mile, W.Va. on August 17, 1944, a daughter of the late David and Edna DeBarr Perry.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by three sisters: Maxine Wamsley, Imogene Wilfong and Ruth Copeland; and three brothers: Richard, Bob and Tim Perry.

On August 17, 1963, Glenda married her high school sweetheart, David Neal Bosley. Together they shared a wonderful and blessed life of marriage raising their family.

Forever cherishing her countless memories are husband David Bosley, of Tallmansville; two daughters: Lora Vance and husband James, of French Creek, and Cindy Reed and husband Jed, of Queens; one grandson Justin Reed and partner Alexis Sanders, of Buckhannon; one granddaughter Katie Reed, of Tallmansville; one great-granddaughter Amelia “Millie” Reed, of Tallmansville; one great-grandson Jaxson Reed, of Buckhannon; four brothers: Bill Perry, of Buckhannon; Pete Perry and wife Carolyn, of Indian Camp; Arnett Perry and wife Mary, of Tallmansville; David Perry Jr., of Ten Mile; and several nieces and nephews.

Glenda was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (Granny). She was baptist by faith. Glenda was a member of the Buckhannon Country Club and accomplished every golfer’s lifetime goal by making a hole in one on June 26, 2000. She enjoyed driving and sight-seeing especially in the fall. But above everything else, Glenda loved having her house filled with family, especially her great-grandchildren Millie and Jaxson.

In honoring Glenda’s wishes, she will be cremated and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenda’s memory to I am ALS at www.IAMALS.org.
