BUCKHANNON — Frederick “Fred” Lough, 80, of Buckhannon, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2018 at Louis A. Johnson Virginia Medical Center in Clarksburg, W.Va. He was born April 17, 1938 in Beckley, W.Va. a son of the late Ralph and Bonnie Irene Swisher Lough. On June 2, 1961 he married Dottie Nuzum who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Ralph “R.B.” Lough of Buckhannon; three daughters, Barbara Siers of Utah, Carolyn McCann and husband Michael of Buckhannon and Christina Smith and husband Benjamin of Mayesville, W.Va. eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one sister, Carolyn Mulneix of Weston, W.Va. Mr. Lough served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge number seven A.F. & A.M. in Buckhannon. Also, a member of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Heavner officiating. Burial will follow in the Reger Chapel Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors and the Franklin Lodge number seven A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic Rites at the graveside.
