Reynolds fires in 16 in setback

TENNERTON — A fourth-quarter rally fell short for the Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity squad in a 49-44 setback to Bridgeport on Wednesday night.

The Lady Bucs trailed by five, at 21-16, after three quarters before drawing to within 45-44 in the fourth quarter. But the Indians secured the victory from the free-throw line in scoring the game’s final four points.

Freshman McKenzie Reynolds fired in 16 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, to pace B-U. Morgan Parsons and Ciara Melton added eight apiece.

Bridgeport placed three players in double figures led by Annamarie Pinti with 12. Elizabeth Deniker added 11 and Macey Phillips 10.
