BRIDGEPORT — West Virginia Wesleyan's Joshua Tenney is the Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Wheeling's James Tyler Serman is the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Tenney, a junior from Buckhannon, W.Va., provided a pair of goals in West Virginia Wesleyan's 3-2 conference win over Urbana. After a scoreless first half, Tenney broke through in the 52nd minute. Urbana was able to draw even, but Tenney gave the Bobcats the lead for good just a few minutes later to go on to the 3-2 win.
Serman, a sophomore from Auburndale, Fla., led Wheeling to a 1-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown with five saves between the pipes for the Cardinals.
