BETHANY – Former Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc basketball standout and current Bethany College Bison Makayla Reynolds was named the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game for her performance in last Wednesday’s game against Westminster.
The 6-1 sophomore forward scored nine points, all in the second half, and added six rebounds and two blocks as the Bison beat Westminster by a 59-44 score.
She is averaging 8.1 points per game which is third-best on the team while averaging 4.3 rebounds per game.
She has also added 14 steals and eight blocks.
Bethany is 9-7 on the season.
Reynolds is a 2017 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur and played under head coach Jeremy Maxwell.
During her time at Buckhann-Upshur, she was named all-state, all-conference, team captain, all-tournament team at the state tournament and to the all-freshman team.
She was also a member of the B-U volleyball team.
She is the daughter of Rick and Nickol Reynolds of Buckhannon with one sister, McKenzie, a sophomore at Buckhannon-Upshur.
