Focus: “What A Day”

September 26, 2020 will go down in history as several very important issues were brought before millions of people around the world.  September 26th was a day of peaceful gatherings for prayer and peace. If you did not watch or attend the peaceful Prayer March in Washington, D.C., you missed a wonderful march of thousands of Christians who are concerned for America.

Rev. Franklin Graham and his organizers did a wonderful job putting the schedule together.  There were pastors and church organizers who prayed at seven locations on the Washington Mall. Prayers were given by many well-known pastors and individuals who came to each location to share their love and concern for America. The first location was the Lincoln Memorial where prayers were shared of love for country and peace for all. Prayers were given for President Trump and Vice President Pence. Vice President Pence and his wife attended as well. Other locations visited were the Museum of National African History and Culture, the World War II Memorial, National Archives and History, The Washington Monument, The White House and The Capitol.

Prayers were led by many Pastors and they prayed for the President, Vice President, Congress, all leaders in our country and abroad.  Ongoing prayers were shared by those attending and prayers were given to end the violence, prayer for peace and coming together as one nation under God with liberty and justice for all. It was a prayer march for all men and women as equals with God as their creator. Prayers were given for those in other nations to be free and not to be punished for being a Christian. Prayers were given to remember and respect our Constitution and to show kindness, respect, love and forgiveness to others without violence. Prayers were offered for the sanctity of life for those unborn.

I was moved by the peace and love shown to all who were in attendance. It was a joy to see this entire gathering without violence of hate, destruction and total disrespect for those who love our country. This Prayer March was covered from beginning to end by the Trinity Broadcasting Network with Gov. Huckabee and Franklin Graham’s daughter Cissie as hosts. You can go to YouTube and watch it if you missed seeing the Prayer March on Sept. 26.

I was checking my Facebook this morning and saw the there was a prayer march in Buckhannon that ended up at the Courthouse on Sept. 26.  I must have missed the notice because I did not know there was a planned prayer march locally. The crowd looked impressive and my congratulations go to those who planned the march. I would like to know how the march was publicized. I missed seeing or hearing about it. Will there be a rerun of the march and service on local TV3?

There was another special gathering in Washington, D.C on September 26.  The program was titled “The Return.” Jonathan Cahn preached on the Jewish Holy Days and the Feast of the Tabernacles. This special programming was an all day gathering. This special program can also be seen in rerun on YouTube. The return is a wonderful remembrance of how our country was founded, why it was founded, who founded America, and what the principles were as America became a light to those who loved their God and the freedom they had in this new land.

I have mentioned the book “The Harbinger” written by Jonathan Cahn, which uses the Bible to show the repeats of Bible times in the future. Harbinger is that which goes before and announces the coming of something. Jonathan Cahn has written “Harbinger II,” which is also looking at the Bible and how it reveals what happens in the future. I did have the opportunity to see the special of “The Return” and recommend you take the opportunity to watch it.  You can also find “The Return” on YouTube. I would also recommend reading both books on the “Harbinger.” Much of our history in the Bible is repeated. We as a nation, can see how we are given ways to make changes that can give America hope for the future.

September 26 will also be historical with the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett as the next Supreme Court Justice replacing Judge Ginsberg who passed away recently. President Trump made the announcement and now Judge Barrett will have hearings as to her appointment to be the ninth Supreme Court Justice. We need to pray for Judge Barrett and those who question her. The committee should be fair, kind and do their job with respect.

Our nation has many decisions coming soon and we the people need to pray that America comes together in peace. We need to reread our history of how America came to be and how our forefathers came together. Our forefathers created the law to make our nation of the people, for the people, and by the people; a nation of hope, respect, love of God, and with the freedoms written in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

There are those who want our country to fail. There are those who want our country to be a socialist nation, which has total power of all who live in this country. We have those who want to take our freedom of religion away. There are those who want to take our 2nd Amendment away. There are those who are totally for abortion, even after delivery. We need to search for the beliefs of our parties running for this next election. We need to ask questions before we vote. The President and former Vice President will be given many questions in the debates. Listen to what they say and then make your decision to vote for the one that is what you want for America. I pray that both men running for President want to serve in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA as the leader of ONE NATION UNDER GOD with LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

I leave you with these thoughts. Ronald Reagan – “Freedom is the recognition that no single person, no single authority or government has a monopoly on truth, but that every one of us put on the earth has been put here for a reason and has something to offer.” Ronald Reagan also said this, “If we ever forget that we are a nation under God, we will be a nation gone under.”  Albert Einstein – “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” Rand Paul – “We should never forget the Constitution wasn’t written to restrain citizens’ behavior. It was written to restrain the government’s behavior.”

The glory of the Lord has set you ablaze with light. Shine your light brightly to show the glory of the Lord to others.
