TENNERTON — Flavia Jean White formerly “Jean Wendling,” 78, of Buckhannon passed away at 9:45p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family with the loving assistance of WV Hospice.
She was born in Boone County on April 28, 1939, a daughter of the late C.L. “Babe” Workman and Verdie Marie Meadows. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James White; brother, Dale Workman; sister, Linda Lowe.
Her fun loving spirit will be carried on by her three children: Steven Wendling and wife, Deneen, of Rock Cave, Shelia J. Sullivan and husband, William L.”Boddy,” of Franklin, Tenn., and Albert F. Wendling II of Buckhannon; four grandchildren: Matt, Bridjet, Steven and Billy; one great-grandson, Wesley, all of whom were the light of her life. Her laughter and good sense of humor will be remembered by her two brothers: Arch Workman, and Jerry Osborne and wife, Iona, all of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Flavia was a Christian by faith, and worked as an X-ray technician for over 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, laughter and spending time with her friends. In addition her grandchildren and great grandson were the light of her life. Her personality will always be remembered by her kind hearted nature, always looking to make the next joke.
Cremation has been honored under the direction of Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral & Cremation 21 Elnora Circle Buckhannon, WV 26201, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
