BUCKHANNON – The Elizabeth Zane Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution met on April 23rd for their monthly meeting. The members met with Buckhannon Mayor David McCauley at the Colonial Theater on Main Street. The Mayor gave the members a tour of the facility as well as the history of the building. He also explained the current work being done and the future plans for the site. After this tour, the members went to the Opera House on Main Street, where C.J. Rylands, owner, presented the history of this building and lunch was served to the members by C.J. Maggies. The Daughters were fortunate to see a building in progress and one that had been completed.
Members attending were Nancy Greenleaf, Carolyn Crozier, Georgette Ward, Loretta Casto, Marjorie Miles, Linda Hinter, Jane Reddecliff, Pam Gillespie, Loretta Dawson, Delores Wilson and Brenda Casto. Prospective member, Mary Hyre and Guest Cindy Rafferty also attended.
