Elizabeth Strader died peacefully on November 7, 2019 at the Grand Villa of New Port Richey, Florida. She had been in ill health for some time.
Ms. Strader was born October 21, 1937 in Grantsville, WV. Her family moved to Buckhannon, WV, where she graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1955 and West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1959 where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She began a long career teaching science in the middle schools in WV and in Florida. She taught in Stuart, FL, and ended her career in Indiantown, FL. She loved teaching and loved her students.
She is survived by her beloved family members: nieces, Kathy Ours, of New Port Richey, and Sharon Hillery of Bethesda, MD, godson and great-nephew John Hillery of Garrett Park, MD, cousin Paula Howe of Indiantown, FL, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Interment will be at the Waterloo Church Cemetery in French Creek, WV, at a later date.
