TENNERTON — Edward William Tenney, 63, of Kelley Ridge Road, passed away suddenly in his yard on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017. Born Dec. 8, 1953 at Ten Mile, he is the son of Dessie Sipe Tenney and the late Wesley Tenney. Edward was a retired disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, member of the Ten Mile Baptist Church, member of the DAV and the PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America), avid hunter/fisherman and really enjoyed raising a garden.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years of marriage, Judith Hoops Tenney; two sons, Samuel Tenney, Joseph Tenney and wife Crystal both, of Queens; three sisters, Hilda Tenney and husband Roger, of Texas, Rose Linger and Trisha Phillips and husband Robert, both of Buckhannon; four brothers, Junior Tenney and wife JoAnn, John Tenney, both of Buckhannon, Samuel Tenney and wife Dorene, of South Carolina, Donald Tenney wife Rebecca, of Tallmansville; four granddaughters, Kaylea, Nina, Chloe, and Adelynn; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral & Cremation at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, WV, from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept.b15, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at the Ten Mile Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Upshur County Honor Guard.
