Dixie Lee Landis


BUCKHANNON — Dixie Lee Landis,  71, of Salem, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at the Genesis Center in Salem. 

She was born June 7, 1945 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Charles Elmer and Mary Susan Roy Queen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Karrol Wamsley; second husband, Sterling Steven Landis; two daughters, Deanna Ruth and Shelby Elizabeth Wamsley and two brothers, Tex Ritter and William Marvin Queen. 

She is survived by two sons, Rick Wamsley, of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Darrel Wamsley, of French Creek, and two daughters, Kristine Shoulders and Billi Rae West, both of Buckhannon. Mrs. Landis was a CNA and a Seventh Day Adventist. Mrs. Landis will be cremated. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
