Diane M. Murphy

TENNERTON — Diane M. Murphy, 48, of 235 Pointe Drive, Buckhannon passed away 11:27 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the United Hospital Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Brownton, a daughter of the late Bradford Eugene Montgomery and is survived by her mother Pearl Wolfe Montgomery of Philippi. Diane was a Christian by faith, former manager of Petro gas station in Charlotte, N.C., Coordinator for Community Access, gave birth to three children, former board member for Coordinating Council for Independent living, attended Fairmont State University, enjoyed reading Stephen King books, gardening, crafting, and mowing grass.

She is also survived by her daughter, Alyssa Beth Murphy, of French Creek; two sisters: Tammy Ware, of Buckhannon, and Christy Holbrook and companion Scott Farris, of Brownton.  Also surviving are three nephews:  AJ Freeman, Derek Ware and Austin Holbrook; four nieces: Stephanie Branka, Kaitlyn Ware, Rebecca and Emily Holbrook; four great-nephews:  Clayton, Arley, Isaac and Connor; and two great-nieces: Anne Marie and Rylee.  All of her nieces and nephews knew her as Di.

Friends and family will gather at the Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral & Cremation at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11 a.m.  with Rev. Randall Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in the Heavener Cemetery Buckhannon.
