Denver Monroe Tenney, 66 of Buckhannon, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at United Hospital Center. He was born on November 29, 1955 in Buckhannon, W. Va., son of late Floyd D. and Arah L. Grubb Tenney.
Denver was a factory worker in Ohio for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, playing guitar and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting knives, flashlights, tools and tinkering.
Denver is survived by his wife of over forty years, Edith Annette Wolf Tenney; four children, Bucky Denver Tenney, Amos Monroe Tenney and wife April, Israel Justin Tenney, and Aaron Bryan Tenney all of Buckhannon; nine grandchildren, Gina, Sarah, Jamie, Rebecca, Jacob, Parker, William, Jaxson and Jenson; seven brothers, Floyd Randall Tenney, Buckhannon, Harold Tenney of Warren, Ohio, Chris Tenney of Warren, Ohio, Sonny Tenney of Dalton, Ga., Roger Tenney of Baytown, Texas, Jerry Tenney of Burton, Ohio, and Charles Tenney of Anchorage, Alaska; three sisters, Angle Wargo of Warren, Ohio, Wilda DeMoss of Middlefield, Ohio, and Crystal Warner of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Denver is preceded in death by four sisters, Wilma Shipman, Mary Tenney, Connie Wilken, Cindy Miner; three brothers, Walter Tenney, Ernest “Tubb” Tenney and Delmer Tenney.
