CHARLESTON—David Anthony Moore, also known as "Big Mo" passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 30, 2018. David was born in Charleston, WV on November 11, 1958.
The family will be meeting at Holland Funeral Service in Monroe, NC at 12:30 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 to ride motorcycles together to the church. Anyone who would like to join them is welcome. Kick stands up at 1:00 p.m. to go to Freedom Biker Church in Monroe, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Freedom Biker Church in Monroe, NC. Immediately following the service, the family would like to ask everyone to join them for a covered dish meal at the church.
Dave is survived by his wife, Chastity Penegar Moore; his son Jason B. Moore; his daughter Kalee Jene Moore; his step-son Caleb Penegar; his parents Elmer F. Moore (Peg) and his mother Dora Moore; his brothers, Joseph A. Moore, Phillip W. Moore, David F. Moore; his sister, Deborah A. Grimm; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dave was a 1977 graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School. He played football (#77), wrestling, drama club, and track.
In 2007 Dave found a new way of living through the grace of God and his fellowship with AA, where he remained a very active member in good standing. He was a member of Freedom Biker Church in Monroe, NC.
David loved riding motorcycles, his wife, children, and his tomcat, Tom. He loved helping people. He was known as a "doer". If he told you he would do something he did it!
