BUCKHANNON — Occupants of three vehicles narrowly escaped serious injury when they collided at the Kesling Mill intersection early Wednesday evening.
Merlin Howe said he was driving home from work on Route 33 East in a blue Toyota Corolla, when a tan Buick Century crossed the intersection from Kesling Mill Road and hit him. His car sustained heavy front-end damage, which deployed all of his airbags and spun the car around 180 degrees. The Buick, driven by Eugene Baughman, also spun around and slammed into a Toyota Rav4 driven by Danielle Evans while she was waiting to cross the intersection at the stop sign coming from Old Elkins Road.
The Buckhannon Fire Department and multiple volunteer firefighters responded, as well as Upshur County EMS, Upshur County Sheriff’s Department and the WV State Police.
