County administrator moves into new digs

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Commission and other city and county officials gathered at the new Upshur County Administrative Annex, located at 91 W. Main St., Suite 101, for a Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting to celebrate its official opening Friday afternoon. First row, center from left are commissioner Sam Nolte, commission president Terry Cutright and commissioner Troy “Buddy” Brady. Also pictured in front are assistant county administrator Tabatha Perry and county administrator Carrie Wallace. The move is a result of the expansion of the 26th Judicial Circuit from one judge to two. Judge Kurt Hall will occupy what was the former Upshur County Family Courtroom, and as a result the family court is taking the former Upshur County Commission space.
