Chapman leads golf Bobcats at Green Hills GC

RAVENSWOOD – Zach Chapman finished in sixth place for the West Virginia Wesleyan golf team in their recent two-day outing this past weekend in the Mister Bee Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Green Hills Golf Course in Ravenswood.

Chapman shot a pair of 74’s for a two-day total of 148 for his sixth-place finish.

As a team, the ‘Cats finished fourth among 12 schools with a two-day total of 613.

They shot a 304 on day one and a 309 on day two.

Charleston won the team title with a score of 595 while Lake Erie College was second with a 609 and Davenport was third with a 611.

Bluefield State’s Franco Di Benedetto won the individual title with a 135 while Lake Erie’s Daniel Milo and Charleston’s Lucas Ross were second with 145s.

Colin Chapman shot two rounds of 77s for a 154 and placing 22nd while Dan Morgret was 25th with a 156 and Matt Allen rounded out the scoring placing 38th with a 156.

The rest of the Wesleyan line-up was Ciah Kennedy in 44th (163), Rigel Wilson in 45th (164) and Kyle Raciak in 56th (170).

Wesleyan will conclude their season in the MEC Championships which begin next Tuesday at Warren, Ohio.
