ADRIAN — A panicked driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the bedroom of a home in Adrian on Wednesday night. Sara Pulliam, age 25 of the Adrian area, told Cpl. T.A. Menendez that she was traveling south on Route 20, when another vehicle that was traveling in her lane ran her off the road, causing Pulliam to hit the ditch.
Trooper Menendez reported, “She eventually crossed the center line and went off the left side of the road and clipped the vehicle in the driveway, before hitting the house.” Menendez explained, “She was not charged with anything for the accident, but she was cited for suspended license for unpaid citations. She is responsible for what her car does, so she will be at fault for the accident.”
The homeowners were present when the accident occurred and narrowly escaped injury. Gidget Oldaker was lying in her bed when the car literally came through the wall of her bedroom and caused pandemonium. Oldaker was not injured, and neither was the driver or passenger of the vehicle.
Adrian Volunteer Fire Department was first on the scene, followed by Upshur EMS and West Virginia State Police Cpl. Menendez. A&S Towing and Recovery pulled the car out of the dwelling, up the embankment, and then towed it away from the scene.
