WELLSBURG — The Buckhannon-Upshur High School boys’ soccer team traveled to Wellsburg on Saturday, September 18, 2021 for a game against the Brooke High School Bruins. The game ended in a tie with a score of 1 – 1.
The Bruins’ single point came in the first half of the game scored by Eddie Marks who was assisted by Ben Fergison. In the 16th minute, Fergison passed the ball to Marks who then shot into the far post for their only point.
The Buccaneers’ Noah Radabaugh scored in the second half of the game in the 64th minute for B-UHS’s only point. Caden Andrick assisted Radabaugh with a chip pass over the defenders and finished near post.
Buckhannon-Upshur’s Dalton Auvil had nine saves for the Buccaneers and the Bruins’ Jeremy Gilchrest had four saves.
