Bucs, Lady Bucs both receive votes in first AP basketball poll


CHARLESTON – Both the Buckhannon-Upshur boys and girls basketball teams received votes in the first Associated Press rankings.

The Bucs are ranked 16th with three votes in the brand new Class AAAA classification while the Lady Bucs are 13th with five votes.

The Bucs will get their season underway Saturday at No. 10 Class AAA Lincoln.

The Lady Bucs were slated to begin their campaign Wednesday night hosting No. 8 Lincoln.
