Buckhannon to celebrate July 4 after Festival Fridays


BUCKHANNON — The Buckhannon Independence Day Celebration organizers are once again collaborating with Create Buckhannon’s Festival Friday and will feature a Fireworks show sponsored by The City of Buckhannon for a fun-filled event to be held Friday, July 1.

Throughout the evening there will be inflatables for kids to master ($10 wrist band is required) and a Rock-climbing Wall ($5 wrist band is required)   

Vendors will set up in Jawbone Park with the following lineup of free entertainment:

5 p.m. –  The Masons (Mainstage – Jawbone Park) – A husband/wife acoustic rock duo who delivers a high-energy show of their own original music and unique arrangements of familiar tunes, infused with sweet harmonies and a toe-tappin’ Masons twist! 

6 p.m. –  All American Twirlers (Stockert Youth & Community Center) – Performs on S. Florida Street

6:30 p.m. – Stonestreet (Mainstage – Jawbone Park) – Dance to the best Top-40 from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and today.  Two step to live country and join in the Cupid Shuffle or the Electric Slide!

8:30 p.m. – Elite Rivals – Performs on S. Florida Street

9 p.m. – Gary Palumbo (Mainstage – Jawbone Park) – Presenting Country/Light Rock Music

At dark the City of Buckhannon presents the Independence Day Fireworks Show!
