Buccaneer Soccer Camp attracts nearly 45 youth

TENNERTON – The 2018 Buccaneer Youth Soccer Camp was held last week at Ted Crites Memorial Alumni Field at the Tom Hasbrouck Stadium on the campus of Buckhannon-Upshur.

Having to dodge rain drops throughout most of the week, the four-day camp under the direction of B-U boy’s head coach Mike Donato was still a success.

“I would like to thank all the kids and their parents who signed up for camp this year,” remarked Donato. “This year, we had 44 athletes participate in camp.”

The camp began last Monday and concluded Friday with the announcements of the camp’s award winners.

The sponsors for this year’s camp were: Arnett Carbis Toothman, Highland Landscaping, Sam's Pizza, Sunset Graphics and West Virginia Chiropractic Center.

“I would like to send a big thank you to this year's sponsors,” said Donato. “I also want to thank all the high school players who helped throughout week, the alumni, Lexi Greene and Ben Nolte who donated their time, and the high school coaches, Isaac Casto, Sam Nolte, Mike Tenney and Jackie Zuliani for working with this year's campers.”
