Buckhannon City Police Department is currently accepting applications for full time police officers. The closing date for applications will be 4:30 p.m. on July 23, 2021. Applications must be received or postmarked by the closing date.
Anyone interested must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent and have never been convicted of any misdemeanors, felonies or serious traffic offenses. The application is five pages long and includes requirements such as living within 10 air miles of the station. Military experience will add points onto the written exam.
The BPD offers competitive salary, as well as paid sick and vacation time.
