Bonnie Hawkins Woody, age 69, of the Selbyville Community, died Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the home of her son in Buckhannon.
She was born on October 10, 1950, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Artie C. and Lola L. Crawford Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Junior Woody; four sisters: Sharon K. Hawkins, Helen Louise Alderman, Patty J. Johnston, and Betty Ann Roy; two brothers: Norman E. Hawkins and Denver A. Hawkins, Sr.; and one grandson Noah D. Woody.
She is survived by two sons: David Hawkins and wife Kim of Buckhannon, and Melvin Woody and wife Rebecca of Gypsum, Colorado; four grandchildren: Tyler E. Hawkins, Ashley N. Hawkins, Chase A. Hawkins, and Everly S. Woody; two great grandchildren: Claire E. Snyder and Edwin T. Hawkins; and her twin sister Connie S. and husband Ron Roth of Buckhannon.
Bonnie was a member of the Buckhannon Church of Christ and an active member of the Selbyville Community, helping in any way she could.
At the request of the deceased, her body will be cremated. Private interment will be held at a later date.
