BDVFD Rescue Truck rear-ends another driver

FRENCH CREEK — The Banks District Volunteer Fire Department’s new EMS Rescue Truck was on the scene of a Friday evening accident, but this time it wasn’t to respond.

Unfortunately, BDVFD driver Tim Hissam reportedly caused the crash when he rear-ended a Ford Escape driven by Liz Hamner, as she was waiting to turn off Route 20 South onto Grubb Hollow Road in French Creek.

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident and multiple agencies responded.  Precision Auto Parts and Towing removed the rescue truck from the scene.
