BUCKHANNON — The art students of Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School will be hosting a fundraiser to contribute to Ukraine aid on Wednesday, March 23.
Seventh grade students in Mrs. Butler’s art classes have designed and created prints and paintings to sell in hopes to raise funds for Ukrainian aid. The current PBL theme in seventh grade is “Survival.” The kids and their teacher are hoping to make a little bit of a difference in the lives of Ukrainian people, many who are truly struggling to survive.
The prints and paintings will be available for purchase in the B-UMS cafeteria from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The minimum price per print is $5. Payment can be brought to the school office or mailed with attention to Pam Slaughter. Checks can be made out to B-UMS with “Ukraine” in the memo space.
If you need a print mailed to you, the shipping is $2. Prints are also featured on the Facebook group Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Art, where you can find updates and check for new prints.
