B-UHS students found sharing explicit photos

Pictures were allegedly of a teacher

TENNERTON — The West Virginia State Police are investigating sexually explicit photos shared among Buckhannon-Upshur High School students that were allegedly of a teacher at the school.
A press release from the WVSP states that Trooper First Class R.A. Moss received a case referral from the Upshur County Prosecutor’s Office in reference to the photos.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released until the investigation is complete. The release did not say how the students obtained the photos.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact Moss at the detachment at 304-473-4200.
Superintendent Roy Wager said that the teacher has been suspended with pay “for that person’s well-being until we hear from the state police.”
Wager declined to comment further, citing the police investigation and it being a personnel matter.
