TENNERTON – Sometimes pranks are mean-spirited, sometimes they are done out of love and respect. The latter is certainly the case for sisters Brittany Boyles and Charity Boyles.
The Buckhannon-Upshur students played the ultimate prank on Buckhannon-Upshur High School Prevention Resource Officer Corporal Rocky Hebb last week.
On senior prank day, the sisters decided to plaster Cpl. Hebb’s cruiser with balloons and notes of thank-yous.
“It has been a difficult year for us,” explained Charity. “He has really been the only one to understand our problems this year. Rocky has been there for us all year, so we decided to prank him. So, we decided to ‘decorate’ his car.”
The sisters actually got caught in the middle of the prank by Cpl. Hebb as a wreck outside the high school prompted him to come outside to investigate it.
“He would have never caught us without the wreck,” joked Charity. “He came out and asked, ‘What are you guys doing?’”
Fortunately for the sisters, the good-natured Cpl. Hebb did not charge them with vandalism.
