TENNERTON — “These violent delights have violent ends and in their triumph die like fire and powder, which as they kiss, consume.” Buckhannon-Upshur High School Theatre is proud to present their production of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.”
B-U’s version draws inspiration from “Punk-Upon-Avon,” which mixes modern punk-rock and fantasy with historical Elizabethan aesthetics. Song and dance will accompany the play to help illustrate the story of the two star-crossed lovers who do whatever they can to stay together in a world that wants them apart.
Join the B-U troupe as they perform Romeo and Juliet on Saturday, May 7 at 7 p.m. or Sunday, May 8 at 3 p.m. for the matinee. The show will take place in the B-UHS auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door and will be $5 a seat.
Come support the B-UHS students and enjoy a breathtaking performance by these talented students.
