BRIDGEPORT — The Buckhannon-Upshur High School boys’ soccer team traveled to Bridgeport to battle the Indians in the Sectional Championship game on Friday, October 22. Unfortunately, the Buccaneers weren’t able to earn the win and the final score was 2-0 with Bridgeport on top.

“I can’t thank the players and their families enough for a great season, especially our seniors. We asked a lot out of these guys this season and they stepped up big,” expressed Coach Mike Donato. B-UHS played a great game despite their loss. They had three “shots on goal” throughout both halves of the game.

“As far as tonight’s game goes, we seemed to come out a little slow from the start and Bridgeport was able to take advantage. We threw some changes out in the second half that was able to generate some movement and possession, but not enough to get the goals we needed,” said Coach Donato.

Congratulations to the B-U boys’ soccer team for a great season!
